Hi! I’m a Zohran volunteer who had a shower thought about making an at cost hat in metal font for other volunteers. We spent the fall registering people to vote and canvass at large music venues, on the street, in parks, at our own events (who remembers rat trivia debate watch?). We are a community of New Yorkers interested in a more affordable and therefore joyful NYC for all. We made a zhat that spread through word of mouth and a lot of pavement pounding.

We didn’t make any profit on the hats. Any amount over the production costs (materials, DHL from MX to NYC, and for online cc processing fees) goes 100% to mi tlalli a mutual aid in nyc working with asylum seekers.

We have decided to sell some of our existing hat stock online because of all the messages we received asking for them. We will start shipping Dec 5th! Thanks for understanding that a handful of people are tackling this project and we are not a huge team.
